Project to Support Destinations and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Adopting Smarter, Data-Driven, and Sustainable Approaches in Tourism
FACILITATE is an initiative aimed at enabling the digital transformation of the European tourism ecosystem through a data-driven approach. Co-financed by the European Union, the project supports destinations and SMEs in implementing smarter data management and sharing practices. FACILITATE provides targeted support and helps stakeholders leverage services developed within initiatives such as D3HUB – the European Competence Center for Data Management in Tourism Destinations, and DEPLOYTOUR – the Deployment of the European Data Space for Tourism.
By understanding the real needs of tourism stakeholders, FACILITATE aims to:
- Help destinations and SMEs transition toward a data-driven, green, and digital future
- Create a framework for informed decision-making
- Provide capacity building and access to digital tools for all types of destinations
- Strengthen the European tourism data ecosystem through shared knowledge and expertise
The project is coordinated by AnySolution and implemented in collaboration with Scholz & Friends, Breda University of Applied Sciences, Turismo Andaluz, DIH Tourism 4.0, and NECSTouR. Together, they are working to build a more resilient and innovative European tourism environment.
